Your permission slip to disappoint people this week (and why that's okay)

Have you ever had one of those weeks where nothing is technically wrong, but everything feels... wrong? ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

That was me, just recently.

I woke up with anxiety buzzing through my veins before my feet even hit the floor. ๐Ÿšจ

My thoughts spiraled toward scarcity rather than abundance.

My energy levels? Somewhere between "empty tank" and "running on fumes." โ›ฝ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

I did everything the productivity experts recommend:

โœ… Exercise (check)

โœ… Positive affirmations (check)

โœ… Motivational podcasts (check)

โœ… Gritting my teeth and pushing forward (double check)

Yet nothing shifted. The cloud remained.

Then it hit me: maybe I wasn't supposed to push through this feeling. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Maybe this was my body's way of handing me a permission slipโ€”one I desperately needed but was too stubborn to write for myself.

So I did something radical.

๐Ÿšจ I surrendered. ๐Ÿšจ

Instead of dragging my reluctant family outside for "quality time" that Saturday afternoon...

๐Ÿ˜ด I took a nap while the kids did their own thing.

๐Ÿ“ต I paused content creation.

๐Ÿ“‚ I shelved a work project.

๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ I declined invitations.

๐Ÿ˜ญ I let tears come when they needed to.

๐Ÿซ And yesโ€”I ate chocolate and crisps without a side order of guilt. (This part helped tremendously. ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Here's what I learned:

As women, our bodies speak to us through energy shifts, mood changes, and hormonal fluctuations. These arenโ€™t weaknessesโ€”they're wisdom. ๐Ÿ’ก

My body was telling me:

"You cannot operate at 100% capacity all the time." And for once, I listened.

The hardest part wasnโ€™t the tiredness itself.

It was giving myself permission to honor it.

So if you're in that place right nowโ€”where everything looks fine on paper but feels heavy in practiceโ€”please consider this note your permission slip. ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’›

โœ”๏ธ Take the nap.

โœ”๏ธ Eat the chocolate.

โœ”๏ธ Say no to the things.

โœ”๏ธ Let the tears come.

๐ŸŒŽ The world wonโ€™t fall apart if you step back for a moment. In fact, when you return, you might find it looks clearer than before.

Breathe. Take a minute. You are okay. ๐Ÿ’•

With chocolate and compassion,
